Los Angeles Unified School District

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), established in 1853, serves as the second-largest public school district in the United States, providing education services to over 600,000 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Positioned across over 710 square miles, the LAUSD operates more than 1,000 schools along with alternative education centers in cities including Los Angeles, Gardena, and West Hollywood.
