HHS

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is a governmental agency dedicated to enhancing and protecting the health of all Americans by providing crucial human services, especially for those who are least capable of helping themselves. Established in 1953, their mission is to foster sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services. HHS operates from its headquarters in Washington, D.C along with ten regional offices across the country.
