Employment and Social Development Canada

Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is a department of the Government of Canada, established in 2003, which provides a range of services and programs aimed at improving standard of living and quality of life of all Canadians. Its mission is to build a stronger and more competitive Canada, support Canadians in making choices that help them live productive and rewarding lives, and improve Canadians' quality of life. The central office is located in Gatineau, Quebec, with regional offices across the country.
