Defense Information Systems Agency

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is a combat support agency of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) established in 1960, committed to providing, operating, and ensuring command and control, and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to the military's joint Warfighters, National level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners. The agency operates command and control facilities in every time zone and its vision is to connect and protect the warfighter in cyber-space as the provider of choice for end-to-end capabilities. DISA's headquarters is located at Fort Meade, Maryland, with other locations worldwide, supporting U.S. military and government entities.
