Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, government entity that provides property insurance protection to Florida homeowners who are unable to find coverage in the private market. Adhering to its mission to provide insurance protection to Florida policyholders who are entitled to but are unable to obtain insurance, Citizens is committed to offering both the most prudent means of fulfilling the Florida Legislature’s mandate and the most efficient and respectful service to its policyholders.
